This is driving me crazy. I’m trying to remember a film that contains a line we use in my family to describe someone who isn’t all the way awake: “He/she’s still circling the airport.” Here’s what I know:
- It was a Jeff Bridges film.
*Bridges says the line about his dog, who was sedated after a vet procedure, to (I THINK) a little girl who is his neighbor. the little girl sneaks over to his apartment a lot.

YES! that’s it all right. The embarrassing thing is that I LOVE that movie (although I haven’t watched it in a long time), but in my mind the dog + lonely neighbor kid subplots didn’t match the music stuff and I just thought it had to be a different movie.
It’s funny the things you KNOW that just aren’t so.
