Saw both of these (6?) years ago on a trip to Europe, and don’t know the title of either. One was a sitcom (might have actually seen this on TV in France, but it was definitely British) about some young-ish roommates, one of whom (a male) had agoraphobia. That’s all I can remember, except that I found it pretty hilarious at the time.
The other was a cartoon sitcom that I saw in Amsterdam (though it was also British) - the only pertinent details I can remember were some guy owned a mule that he gave drugs to in order to turn him into a racehorse, and during the big race the mule/horse did a slo-mo jump over a hurdle and then exploded in mid-air. I can’t recall laughing at an episode of TV so much (though my trip to the “coffee shop” no doubt helped).
Some episodes were pretty funny but others, not so much. The agoraphobia joke wore thin for me after a while but the lovely Samantha Janus was always worth a look. I preferred Neil Stuke to Ben Chaplin as Matthew but others may wish to disagree. I’d place it in the second rank of worthy sitcoms.
My SO loved it. I can’t speak for the rest of the population.
The cartoon could possibly be I Am Not an Animal? I don’t remember too much about it myself, except Steve Coogan voiced one of the main characters and it had a weird sort of animation style. It was pretty funny, ISTR.
Possibly, though that doesn’t quite sound like the show I saw, which seemed to be more about a bumbling Homer Simpson-type father than the actual animals.
