Help me identify this candy

You’re going to love this…
OK, When I was in Dallas Texas several months ago for the OKLAHOMA - texas football game, I ate at a restaurant. Of course I don’t remember the name of that restaurant.

As we were leaving I grabbed a few mints from the bowl by the hostess stand.

They were awesome! However I don’t remember their name. I’d like to find these mints, and so I would like you guys and gals to help me identify the mint.

Here’s what I know about it…

I’m almost positive it’s italian (or made to look italian). The wrapper was green and white. The cool thing about the mint was it was rock hard when you put it in your mouth, but then in a short time it turned into a soft chewy mint. Heaven help you if you bit on then, because I’m sure there are dental practices out there using these things to pull caps off teeth.

So… Identify that mint!

Thanks,

E3

Sounds like Altoids to me, but I’ve never eaten at this particular restaurant.

No, they’re weren’t altods. (Do they make individually wrapped altoids?) plus altoids stay hard until they are dissolved. These mints turn into a jelly bean like consistency.

Perugina Glacia Mint

Woo Hoo, I found them!

They’re called Puntini Menta Fresca. They also make them in Assorted Fruit Puntini, as well as Fruit with Menthol Assortment, Eucalyptus Menthol, Glacial Mint and Licorice.

In case anyone is interested… The restaurant was BJ’s Restaurant / Brewery. It’s a microbrewery in Plano Texas.

Good times

Other than the mints, how was the restaurant? It’s nearby and I’ve been looking for a good brewpub.

It’s a chain. One opened in Cupertino a couple years ago, right near the Apple campus. I wasn’t impressed.
