I heard about an extremely neat-sounding game a few months ago, but for the life of me I can’t recall the title. As I recall, it involved the player working with a ragtag underground revolution intended to fight against some random foreign government that was occupying the US.
Gameplay, from what I recall, was of the FPS RPG type, and you were encouraged to recruit cannon fodder from among the revolutionaries, who would travel with you and help out in firefights.
Does this sound vaguely familiar to anyone?

…so, was it worth playing? 
It’s a fairly old game – 2003. I rented it, and didn’t really get into it that much (I think because I’d rented several games, and another kept my attention), but it did get good reviews. To me, it felt a lot like Mercenaries, in look and gameplay, what little I played.
I got it for $5 and it just didn’t hook me. I tried a few times to play through it but I don’t think I’ve ever gotten past the third or fourth map. It wasn’t anything in particular that made me stop, I just wasn’t enjoying it.
