Back in 1997 I saw part of a movie on HBO and I have always wanted to see it again.
All I can remember is two lesbians in a circus type atmosphere and some really sexy scenes.
Lame, I know, but worth a try.

OK, in retrospect doing a Google search on “lesbians circus movie” wasn’t such a great idea after all…
Tight-Grope?
More when I think of 'em.
Oh here’s one -
‘The Bearded Lady Masquerade’
I am not sure if bearded ladies are more fairground than circus, but meh!
“Ladieeeees and Gentlemen…and Children of Allllll Ages! Preeeeeesenting, for your entertainment, in the Center Ring, Wanda and her Wild Women!”
Cirque de So Laid
Where The Clowns Aren’t
“The Greatest Chow on Earth”?
She told me she loved me like a brother. She was from Arkansas, hence the Joy!

Now THAT is a great plot
You guys suck.
I saw six replies and it got my hopes up. Dang it.
Hmm, sorry I don’t have anything funny to say.
I just have a somewhat serious suggestion for the OP - what about this movie?
http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0114916/
It’s called When Night is Falling, and it was produced in '95. I don’t know what the rules are for HBO, whether they’d show an “older” movie. But it does have two women falling love, and I’m pretty sure one of them was a trapeze artist. I don’t remember if any of the scenes are actually in a “circus type atmosphere”, but there are other trapeze artists listed in the credits, so maybe.
Hope that helps.
could it be “If These Walls Could Talk”
It had 3 or 4 stories about different lesbian couples living in the same house, and the house is passed down through years and years?
Good HBO movie some years back.
If these walls could talk, they’d say “Would it kill you ladies to let your hair grow a little and to maybe put on some lipstick once in a while?”
As I recall, If These Walls Could Talk 2 is the one you’re thinking of, Cat. The first movie focused on abortion at different times in recent history.
'Twas the second that featured the lesbian couples. And it wasn’t all that steamy, I don’t think.
Sorry, Indygrrl, no help with your flick.
I think heater2000ca has nailed it.
Ah, beat to the punch by heater2000ca.
And GuanoLad.
It’s a Canadian film, directed by Patricia Rozema.
It’s actually a very good movie. Saw it at the Angelica in NYC at the urging of my girlfriend (at that time), who, being bi-curious (at that time), found it even more enjoyable than I did.
