The slight difference in the album (and radio, I think) version sounds more like I remember.
OMG OMG, you guys helped me find a song I’ve been searching for for 2 years now. It was a song I used to skate to as a kid at the rink. It was rainforest. You all don’t know how I’ve been up In crazy looking for this song. Thank you thank you thank you.

For future reference – that song is almost entirely using a pentatonic scale (like, say, just the black keys), an allusion to its supposed East Asian-ness. That clue would have narrowed things down considerably!
