I just got something in my eye. I had a peach-faced lovebird that I did not know the sex of, but was sold cheap from a breeder because she/he was hell on wheels. I named it Shiva, and it lived up to the reputation. Eventually turned out to be a she, and she loved me dearly, but hated every other form of life on the planet, and would plan stealth attacks on our pit bull. I miss that little sucker.
No name ideas but I can relate to wanting to name it Kitty. A few years ago I raised an injured mallard duck and I called it Puppy. I figured it would be better if my neighbors heard me in the yard calling “Puppy” than “Duckie”. I used to take her outside to forage for bugs or swim in the wading pool.
I named my pair of parrotlets Camille and Leon. Makes me chuckle, but everyone else just looks at me and slowly shakes their heads.
