Help me! - or - Ginger's a numpty

Sooo…

Having moved to an entirely new part of the country recently, I thought that perhaps I should do a new web page. Something simple, and so that’s what I did this morning.

THEN I tried to upload it.

Feh.

I can’t figure this out. Someone please help?

I’m probably not going to be able to help you because I just build mine right on the site and only upload images. But I do know more info is going to be needed.

What program did you use to build it?

Where are you uploading it to?

  1. Microsoft FrontPage
  2. My local isp’s web space doey.

“doey”?

Sorry, I’m gonna have to let an expert handle this one. I haven’t gotten to the chapter on “doey” yet.

How about you copy and paste from Front Page to the webshell?

web…shell?

Hmmm…

Check your Hotmail.

WS FTP is a pretty easy to use and popular program for uploading stuff. I use it all the time. You can find it at this website. If you have trouble, let me know. . .

Odieman kicks ass.

see sig for published page.

I, at least, just get to see your page for an instant before it goes to a “Sorry! The page you requested is not in service” message.

I’m using Netscape, so either Front Page is putting in some non-standard stuff that won’t work with anything but IE, or @Home is broken.

No, IE goes directly to the error message.

Works for me. You probably hit the link while I was editing.

That must be it - it shows me the page now, pics and all.

So, how you doin’?

'jes fine, rjk… how YOU doin?
