I’ve been reading a lot more lately, and also I have this terrible habit of starting multiple books at once (I’m ‘‘currently reading’’ 15 books according to Goodreads.) I have another 20 samples downloaded that I haven’t started yet.
Kindle’s Collection system seems pretty abysmal to me. I’ve used it but it’s so clunky and I get behind on transferring books to their appropriate collections so easily. And what to do with half-finished books I forgot I was reading? I wondered if anyone has cracked the mystery of the best way to organize Kindle books.
Anyone have any experience with jailbreaking? I’m seriously thinking about jailbreaking my Kindle Paperwhite, if it helps me organize my books better.
I hear ya. I’ve tried using the Kindle app for PC to assign books to collections, which is a lot less clunky; but the assignment doesn’t seem to carry over to my Paperwhite, or at least I haven’t figured out how to get it to.
I don’t understand why you can’t build folders for your own idea of organization, and move books around from their. New purchases would go automatically into an "unread’ folder. Current books would go into a “Reading now” folder. Then you could have folders by author or genre. Or by genre with subfolders by author. And just be able to move books around within the system.
