Help me regain access to this SD Card

I have a Rio Forge MP3 plater that takes MMC and SD cards. I bought a Scandisk 1.0 GB SD card to use with it. The first time I put the card in the player all was well with the world, birds sung, the sun shone and dogs and cats layed down together. I was able to copy some songs off the PC onto the card in the MP3 player.

When I went to play the songs later the Rio Forge failed to reconize the card. I then put it in a Compaq SR1200NX with a 7 in 1 reader and the green in use light turns on but it is unable to access anything on the card and I can’t format the card either.

Any suggestions?

Perhaps the little write protection switch on the side of the card got moved?

Try putting that in to the other position (though it’s probably marked as to which postition it should be in to allow read/write)

Nope the write protection swich is in the corredct position, the PC won’t even see the card

What happened to the card? Did you do anything to it?

If it just stopped suddenly working so soon after you bought it, could you return it to the store or manufacturer?

Do you have a code on the back of the card?
