Help me score a geek date!

Yeah, that’s what I suspected. I emailed him back with a proposition for this Sunday.

“Geek Dates: Skipping Church For Worthy Causes Since 2005!”

So, Harimad-sol, how you… aw, crap :frowning:

:: runs away and hides before Harimad-sol points and laughs at him ::

He-ey, date’s set! Starbucks, tomorrow at three. I’m taking the bus.

Now I have to figure out what to wear. THE HORROR!

Who cares?
Seriously. Don’t stress about it. As long as you look basically nice, there’s no conceivable way it matters.

Jeans and a T-shirt. Unless it’s hot, then short and a T-shirt. Or maybe a jeans skirt… Yeah. Jeans skirt and a T-shirt.

Have fun!

Report back ASAP!

Am I allowed to pull up a lawn chair if it’s because I want somewhere to sit for when Tracy Lord reports back?

:: makes woo-woo noises ::

pulls up lawn chair

Here – I brought cherries to snack on while we wait.

She hasn’t updated. Why hasn’t she updated? Did it go bad? Or did it go really good? It’s definitely past Sunday in the US…why hasn’t she updated?

lays off the coffee for a bit

**Malacandra, ** I would never point and laugh at you. Never ever. As long as you’re willing to help up a girl when she trips and falls down at your gallantry. (I’m not only geeky, I’m klutzy.)

**Tracy, ** I’m back from two and a half days with no internet access, and also eager to hear how everything went.

::tries not to nibble her fingernails::

The date was Sunday and this is Monday night.

I think that club got taken out.

:: fidgets in his lawn chair ::

Harimad-sol, you’re a honey. And I could never resist a fallen woman. :stuck_out_tongue:

::falls at your feet::

So, um, do you come here often?

staggers back to computer, pinning hair back up and rebuttoning shirt

Wha’d I miss?

Nah, seriously, though, it was a very nice date. I mean, very pleasant. He was witty, I was witty, we debated pirates vs. ninjas and tried to figure out what the classification of a platypus was. I think we’ll probably do another one. :slight_smile:

[QUOTE=Tracy Lord]

Platypus…classified as mammal…order Monotremata…one of three extant species in the entire order.

What? I scored a geek marriage. The pirate vs ninja debate rages daily, here.

Good on ya, Tracy. Lure him here!

A geek marriage is one of my goals. But you kinda have to have the geek dates first!

Obviously, the answer is pirate kittens and ninja computer geeks.
Duh!

But what if it’s a pirate robot and vampire ninja?

And congrats, Tracy. GDLJ is a very, very lucky guy. :slight_smile:

Bah.

A robot might make a good pirate in terms of focus, but where’s the wenching?

Vampire ninjas are simply too horrifying to contemplate.

Tracy and GDLJ, on the other hand…

So what position do you take?

About the pirates, I mean.

The zombie monkeys would obliterate them. Duh!
