Fido spelled Phydeaux, he is French after all.
Benji.
Looks like a Carl to me, perhaps Trent.
Less human names
Surren

I think he looks like a Chester.

Digit
Knuckles
Spike
Merlin
Spudgun

If I ever got another pet, I would name it something like ‘Garbage’, (**Gar **for short).
I would treat him or her with great respect, I just think it would be funny to give out a name like that to a pet… because people may not respect the name, but the pet wouldn’t care.
That’s one cute dog.
looks like a **Pete **to me.
Mocha
Cody
Jim-Sox
Puffer
Derby
Caper
Gipper
Mojo
gonzo, this is one of those times where reading the entire OP would be very helpful.
I gotta go with Rudolph as well, because of the red nose. Rudy, if you want to be less formal.
I don’t have any good suggestions, but I just wanted to say how adorable he is.
Out of the names suggested so far, I like Merlin and Mojo.
He’s got a strong Border Collie look about him, how about a traditional BC name (one syllable, starts with a consonant). Gyp, Skip, Sweep, Jock, Fly…
Before making valid suggestions I’m really going to need to see more pictures.
That’s a cutey doggy. Give him a belly rub and an ear scritch for me.
Actually, how about BC? That could be for Border Collie; Big Cutie; or whatever. He really is a big cutie.
Whatever you do, promise me you’ll never name him / her ‘Dammit’.
Unless you drink heavily & smoke Marlboros…
Unalii (ew-nah-lee-ee) Cherokee for"friend". But it’s hard to pronounce.
I rather liked the “Ollie” suggestion. There’s something very Ollie about his eyes. He’s a lovely dog. He’s going to be a real pal to have around.
Eugene
Hiro (or Hero)
Trickster ( kind of a coyote nickname in some N.A. cultures)
Fourth vote for Rudolph.
You CAN shorten it to Rudy or Dolphus but definitely Rudolph.
Or Rude Dolf (if he snatches the Thanksgiving turkey from the table, or is just generally inconsiderate)
And the winner is (drrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrum roll!)
Franky!
Thanks everybody!
