To be honest, it no longer does…and I’m not sure why it did in the first place.
It’s possible that I found the sound of “Fanny” kind of silly, but in the past few days it occurred to me that no matter what their real names, I call our cats “Boo-Berry”, “Powderbutt”, “Murly-Burly” and “Magician”. Why the hell not call the dog “Phantom”?
In other words, there’s every chance that this was all for nothing. But I do appreciate all the great suggestions, everyone.
