I once worked for a company that made home security systems. Like the slomin’s shield thing but a different company. I worked for them in hicksville, ny, but they were national, or at least on the east coast. I think the name was quite similar to Century 21, but it wasn’t.
If anyone knows the name of this company, or how I could find it out (web searches have come up empty), I will be a very happy person.

hehehe wackenhut is a crazy name…quite suited for me, but no, I didn’t work there. That site was very helpful, thanks, but I didn’t work at any of those places. ICCHH this sucks. I am supposed to have a full complete account of my entire employment history, and this place is the only thing screwing me up. I worked there in 1999, so for all I know they’re long since out of business…
So I’m guessing you don’t have old tax records with a W-2 from this company?

Yep, Sentry Detection it is. Right after I came back here to post that I found it out (my father, who isn’t in NY anymore himself, has an amazing memory apparently) I see that site Duke listed had it on it.
I worked a few jobs in 1999 and don’t have w2 forms anymore for any of them except the one place I ended up at for several years…
