Help! They took my Howard away?

I am a resident of San Diego. Within SanDiego is one of the 6 Clear Channel Stations that have halted play of Howard Stern as of yesterday!! How could they do this to me? What will I do during my morning commute? I have read all the articles on their reasons and I dont agree with any of them. I think Stern is great and I want him back on the air. Anyone else agree? Anyone else experiencing these same difficultys? Anybody know of a way to get him back on?

I feel for ya! They had this as a teaser for the 11 o’clock news last night and I was sick with worry. Thank the good lord, it didn’t happen in Providence; I was sure it had and was plotting how to get him on the Boston station and worrying about that. The whole thing kind of scares me because it seems that he isn’t getting more risque but suddenly it’s a problem.

Anyway, I really would just throw up if this happened to me. I’ve been listening pretty much non-stop since NBC days. I hope it doesn’t last too long in San Diego.

I dont think he is getting more risque at all!! They said that the show he did with Rick Soloman the other day was the one that broke the camel’s back. I was enthralled with the show and just loved it- the interesting stories and people that come on that show and the way Howard interviews them is why I listen.

I think that everyone is being punished because the stupid FCC is so embaressed about Janet Jackson’s boob incident. They just want to make an example out of someone.

Any way we can get him banned in New York City? I know too many people who like to pretend they’re Howard. I shy away from turning on the radio since so many radio people seem to envy Howard’s success and turn their show more to the raunchy side. I can’t play too many stations in the home anymore where I try to set an example of what is proper and I try to keep many words and topics out so that they are not understood as acceptable by younger ears that do not fully understand right form wrong yet. Some people never learn right from wrong…
