A friend of mine is looking for a Father’s Day gift for her step-father. He mentioned to her one time that he had read a book as a child that he dearly loved and would love a copy of it. Now, I have read a *lot *of books, but the description sounds like an urban legend that he has confused with a book to me.
Supposedly the plot of the story is that a girl is lost in the woods for a few weeks. Finally, she happens upon a hunter, and as she gets his attention, he shoots in her direction, killing the bear that had been stalking her the whole time.
