Help with English to Latin translation

I’m trying to translate the phrase “God loves ugly” into Latin.
Using an online-translation dictionary, I’ve come up with, “deus amo turpis.”

I know nothing about Latin, so I don’t if the syntax/conjugation/etc. is correct let alone if the spirit of the phrase is lost in the translation.

You want the third-person singular form of the verb: amat.

I also think you mightwant the noun for ‘ugliness’: turpitudinis, not the adjective ‘ugly’.

Should I use a different word for “turpitudinis,” or is the translation still intact?

Turpitudinis is genitive. You want accusitive.

Deus tupitudinem amat = God loves ugliness
Deus turpem amat = God loves the ugly [person]
Deus turpes amat = God loves the ugly [people]

Ah, darn, bibiliophage beat me to the proper word order. The verb prefers to go at the end in Latin.
