The song in the first part of this YouTube video.
Shazam recognized it within 3 drum hits: Back in the Day by Daniel Robinson.
Thank you Bo. Yeah that certainly sounds like it. Funny thing is I could swear there is a different song with that same music that I was thinking of. I’ve tried googling that song in your link looking for covers but so far nothing. I’m remembering a raspy voice.
Anyway thanks again. If this rings a bell to anyone else I’d appreciate the help.
Think maybe you’re thinking of 6th Avenue Heartache by the Wallflowers? https://youtu.be/kXDiGtgPL6E
I agree it sounds like a song I’ve known forever and I’ve never heard the Daniel Robinson Version.
However, every time I shazaam at a different spot in the song it gives me something different and looking them up on youtube, they have a different song over the same music…like the exact same music.
I agree it sounds like “6th Avenue Heartache”.
I think it also sounds like “Dissident” by Pearl Jam Pearl Jam- Dissident (with Lyrics) - YouTube
It’s definitely the “Back in the Day” song, which I’ve never heard before, but, yeah, “Dissent” is evocative of that, too.
Yes! I agree that Snowboarder Bo’s link is the correct one in the video I linked to but it is the Wallflowers song I was thinking of.
The music also has some similarities with The Ballad Of Curtis Loew by Lynyrd Skynyrd.
I still can’t figure out where I know it from, but I’d say it’s closer to Tuesday’s Gone.
I made it back to a song called Lonesome Ave by The 126ers. Same song as all the others (no vocals), no idea if it’s the original or not, but someone mentioned that it’s a rip off of 6th Ave Heartache.
it might be a generic drop. I don’t think I hear a vocal melody.
