Hen eggs, wheat bread, bee honey and hog sausage

It can serve as a useful distinction between “getting up early” vs. “staying out late”.

Let’s “reflect back.” Or “refer back.” Ugh.

I thought a true sausage had some meat from an animal encased in its own intestine, or at least one from the same kind of animal, then twisted off into sections and then, usually, separated.

Does any bird have a big enough intestine for that?

What’s a “true sausage”, Scotsman?

There have been artificial casings and casing free sausages of pork, beef, chicken and blends for at least decades, if not longer. It’s actually much harder for me to find sausages in their own intestines (called “natural casings” to protect the squeamish) at my local megamart.

Well, if you were actually asking a scotsman, it might be this. Wi’ nae skin at a’, ye ken?

This really caused problems for rjk when he first moved down to Texas. In Canada, they call whole wheat bread brown bread, and he’d ask for brown toast when we went for breakfast. It always confused the waitresses, and their question of if he wanted white or wheat toast confused him.

I kept pointing out that toast is supposed to be brown.
