I met a woman recently whom has Hepatitus C in which she got from someone else through sexual contact (Her now Ex-husband), and has now got it under control through a year of medication treatments etc. She was in a late stage (Stage 4) of the disease. She now has Schlerosis of the liver. All I want to know is this:

Can I have unprotected sex with her and not catch the Hepatitus? Is it that contagous to the extent that i may catch this disease by haveing sexual contact with her? I have done some research on this, but the facts are not very clear on this particular question!

Yes, you can catch hepatitis C by having unprotected sexual intercourse with an infected person, but the risk of it happening appears to be fairly low. Of course, you should be using a condom anyway! There are plenty of other, even nastier things you could be placing yourself at risk of catching; unprotected sex jut isn’t worth the risks.
