You like people who have cool-sounding, or at least three names. You foresee a great future for yourself, and enjoy making plans (possibly for world domination). But you also probably like small animals.
My list:
novel: The Crying of Lot 49, by Thomas Pynchon
short story: ‘Harrison Bergeron’, by Kurt Vonnegut
film: North by Northwest, directed by Alfred Hitchcock
TV show: ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’
musical: Sweeney Todd, by Stephen Sondheim
sculpture: ‘The Kiss’, by Rodin
poem: ‘Ozymandias’ by Shelley
DapneBlack, you have a strong sense of justice and see the world and history as a struggle between good and evil. Your idealism is noble, but you might want to temper it with a bit more cynicsm.
Me:
Favorite Novelist: Gene Wolfe
Favorite Rock Album: Blast Tyrant, by Clutch
TV Show (dramatic): Firefly
TV Show (comic): The Daily Show
Anime: Ghost in the Shell
Animal: Cat
Drink: Guinness
You’re either well-educated, or a very eager self-motivated learner.
You’re likely quite imaginative.
You’ve an interesting mix of low-brow and high-brow tastes, and are unafraid to admit to either. (You also make very good choices on both ends of the scale.)
I would guess that you’re in your late-20s, or early-30s.
My list:
Favourite single album - Almost Human, by Voltaire
Favourite comic book artist - Ted Naifeh
Favourite video game company - Square-Enix
Favourite adult novel - Foundation, by Isaac Asimov
Favourite cartoon series - JLU
Favourite non-MB website - Newsgrounds
Favourite standup comedian - toss-up between Eddie Izzard and the late Mitch Hedberg.
I’m guessing since you listed a comic book artist, a video game company, a cartoon series, and that you enjoy Issac Asimov, that you probably don’t play Madden 2006…you like things that are an escape from real life. Sci-fi, superheroes, maybe RPGs? And you’re also light-hearted and goofy because you enjoy Mitch Hedberg. I couldn’t list a favorite comic book artist, I’ve never even read a comic book (minus Archie and Jughead when I was a kid).
My list:
Favorite movie: Fight Club
Favorite standup comedian: the late Bill Hicks
Favorite band: Spoon
Favorite TV show: House MD
Favorite novel: High Fidelity by Nick Hornby
Favorite painting: I prefer photography.
Favorite non SDMB website: facebook.com
You’re obviously a visually oriented person with an analytical mind and a taste for the unconventional (bordering on the bizarre).
Here goes:
Movie–Raiders of the Lost Ark
Musical–A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum
Musical Artist–The Beatles
Song–Deacon Blues by Steely Dan
TV Show (current)–Boston Legal
Book–The Straight Dope (don’t read novels)
Food–Rare Porterhouse steak (a true work of art!)
i would say that you love and enjoy the little things in life, evidenced by the mel brooks movie. you’re open to new ideas, and don’t mind taking a chance every once in a while for something you like/believe in. you WERE low maintenance until the “rare” porterhouse steak. you’ve got nothing at all against readers, or even education, but curling up with a book just isn’t in your bag. i’m not sure of what i can make from boston legal. every guy likes james t. kirk. i wouldn’t mind naming my first son “james kirk (insert last name)*” and not tell the missus what it really means. i think that’d be fun.
*yes, smartasses, "insert last name IS an ethnic name. it’s swahili for “i’m going to jam my foot up your ass if you ask what this last name means in swahili”
