It wasn’t that hard for us, as long as we knew where we were going. The Hungarian rail service has a very good website that sold us our tickets and also gave quite detailed journey information so I already had a list of stations. That allowed us to check off each one as we passed, and knew we were getting off at the right place. Some of them are very reminiscent of the deserted station in Dr Zhivago!
