Reading the thread on how ‘stein’ is supposed to be pronounced reminded me of a question I’ve long harbored.

The Belushis–John and Jim–what is the nationality of that name? It sounds very Italian, but in Italian it would be spelled ‘Belusci’. Is it in fact Italian, but the first Belushi to reach these shores decided it would make it easier for people to pronounce correctly if it was spelled ‘Belushi’?

If you saw the film “Wag the Dog”, you would have learned that the Belushi family is Albanian.

Yeah, I saw Wag the Dog too, but I thought they were from some part of the former Soviet Union - Ukrainian maybe?
