The product placement is pretty blatant, but it doesn’t strike me as all that jarring. I’ve mentioned this before while talking about The Office. When characters in a TV show refer to something in the real world by name, it makes the whole thing seem a little more real. For example, I love that the gang in The Office goes to Chili’s instead of some random “Al’s Burger Shack.”
The PP in Heroes is striking me the same way so far. Yes, Hiro has mentioned the car by name several times, but he seems like the type that would be specific when he describes things anyway, especially given the whole prophecy aspect of his story. I think it’d almost sound a little weirder if he was always saying something generic like “Blue SUV! Blue SUV!”
Considering that he had his hand around her throat and she could barely breathe, let alone speak, there is zero chance that he thought she was trying to Voice him into shooting himself.
That doesn’t mean anything though. Hollywood sound guys seem to need to justify their existance with unrealistic and unnecesary sounds. See the way guns are constantly clattering and clicking when they’re pointed. It didn’t apper to be the collapsable type.
He may have healing ability, but it may not be seperate from the abilities we’ve already seen. If he can figure things out, and he has telekinesis, perhaps he can perform telekinetic surgery on himself?
Im guessing invicible guy can also see invicible or he wouldn’t be able to see himself so Peter was able to see him just from being close enough to absorb his power.
You are mistaken. The guard makes a quick downward motion to expand the PR24. I could clearly see it was an expandable one. The one she breaks is made to look like an expandable one but of course it is fake. The other guards also have expandable PR24s. You can tell because they are not smooth, there are ridges where the bottom piece slides into the upper piece. Of course none of the guards were holding or using them properly. I have also not ever seen guards walking around with them on their belts. Prison guards usually have no weapons. It would make sense for the quick reaction force that came in to have some sort of weapons but the guy in there alone would not.
It seemed to me they both were invisible when they started wrestling around, so they probably do have immunity to the invisibility effect, whatever it is.
My assumption was that he wasn’t so much invisible as phased. They’re both in a sub-dimension where they can’t be seen but can still interact with everything and each other.
It made more sense in my head, but it’s a kind of comic-book explanation for it.
Yeah, I was wondering about that too. Since it’s comic book, I’m not going to think too hard. But is it true invisibility? Light passes through them? Or is it some other effect where living things can’t “see” them, but maybe they still cast shadows or can be seen on surveillance cameras and whatnot.
If you go on the NBC website, you can watch the episode while listening to three cast members (Mr. Bennet, Mohinder, and DL) make comments on the side.
I figured the invisibility effect was just a ‘somebody else’s problem’ field. Ignored, even if interacted with. Sort of an extension of the invisible homeless.
