Heroes 10/22/07 - "Fight or Flight" (SPOILERS)

Last week: We see the faces of all of the mysterious Twelve (why is it always twelve?), some of whom we know, some of whom are dead, some of whom are Parkman’s dad and the Boogeyman. Noah contemplated a trip to Odessa. One perfect (tomato) rose bloomed in New Orleans. Angela confessed to killing Papa Nakamora. Sylar clocked some dude and that cockroach is totally in on it with Mister Muggles!

This week: “fight or flight,” huh? Everyone with me in hoping that West gets his ass kicked by someone, by anyone?

It’s a Christian thing, the twelve. A better question is, “Why is the rum always gone?”

I’d love to see Nathan come flying in and trounce West. Just 'cause.

Heh. Veronica Chars.

“Wandering rocks pub.” That’s a nice touch.

I’m not getting it.

Hahaha. I like that. I’ve been looking forward to this episode all week.

It’s an episode of Ulysses.

One of the best episodes yet, I like Copycat and electric girl. And Mica and his cousin make a good team.

I only caught a glimpse, but if the street-signs in the painting read “St-Laurent” and “St-Jacques”, the church is Notre-Dame de Montreal basilica. The architecture is the same, too.

Hmm, they were filming here and I missed it. Darn. I coulda been an extra.
Anyhoo, the “copycat” character isn’t consistent. If she can match a demonstrated skill, you’d think she’d match it exactly, mistakes included. The double-dutch implied she was improvising dance steps that weren’t originally shown.

Anyway, the opening minutes of Journeyman, a show that I’ve pretty much given up on, show himgoing back in time to meet the hijacker commonly known as D.B. Cooper

Not inconsistent. Her tomato roses are much better than the one she saw on TV and she was able to do that wrestling move in an actual non-choreographed combat situation. She’s always been better than the original. That’s her power.

Awesome power, btw, little chance of nuking your family like Ted, easy to keep a low profile with, but you’re awesome at everything.

Best episode yet this season. The magic’s back. Ok, there’s still some glaring flaws. The NO cop was ham-fisted. Matt and Nathan are Candace-sized morons. But hey, things are moving along and we’re getting Peter away from the Irish stereotypes.

Boy, it was great seeing Kristin Bell again. It makes me pine for the greatness that was Veronica Mars. And I like how she can now shoot sparks. Kind of an homage to Ronnie’s use of the Taser, eh? And who was she on the phone with at the end? Keith?

We still don’t know Camille’s powers or Irish girl’s powers. Or Uhura’s. Who else? Oh, the company guy who got his ass kicked.

We do now know why it was blue on that roof a few episodes ago. Somebody must have mistakenly told the lab that ALL scenes on the roof are supposed to look bluish. Wrongo! Only the ones that happen on the *post-nuclear roof * are supposed to be blue. Doesn’t make sense otherwise.

snicker
“Remember what I said about killing people honey, after all, normal is the watchword.”

Not a whole lot going on this ep, but important advancement for Matt as he learns that he can project thoughts as well as receive them. This is the first time we’ve seen a power definitely run in a family, yes? With Papa Parkman also being a telepath? I liked very much that the Parkmen jammed each other the same way that Matt and Peter did in S1. Good nod to consistency.

One wonders what will happen next with Mohinder, should Niki (or Jessica) decide to rat him out. Speaking of whom, interesting that when Micah was recounting the family powers he didn’t just say “Mom has super-strength.” I really think there’s a second power there in the person of Jessica that Peter has absorbed without knowing it.

Why was Nathan’s hand bandaged? I don’t recall an injury.

As far as Matt goes, I thought that his dad was just talking nonsense to get them in the room. I don’t actually think that they have the same powers. Just related ones.

Why do we think that Camille has powers?

Everybody has powers. It’s “Heroes.”

Yay, Nightmare Man! He’s as scary as he was cracked up to be.

You mean Bob? He has the Midas touch.

Oh yeah, right, thanks. And he does that talking belly button thing. (See “Groundhog Day”)

He punched out a mirror in the last episode.

:smack: That’s where he’s from! This show getting to be a “Hey it’s that guy!” sort of deal.
