That bugs me a bit though. If your hero code prevents you from killing, how is condemning someone to a fate worse than death not a sleazy loophole which makes you just as bad?
In comics, heroes generally only leave villains to fates worse than death when they don’t have much choice anyway. What Hiro did was revenge.
This better not be the end of Adam. I loved that character. If this is his end then I will be teaching all of the writers cats/dogs to poop/puke in their shoes everynight.
I was kinda hoping Molly would get Parkman to save her. Does she know the supposedly really evil guy was Parkman’s dad? I thought it would have been cool if Molly realized if she used her ability to “see” where Parkman was, Parkman would be able to see her too, like his father was able to.
Yes she knows. A couple of episodes ago Parkman wanted her to look for his dad and when he showed her his picture she freaked out and said that he was the “boogey-man”. After a little bit of coaxing from Matt she agreed to look for him.
I’m not so sure about this point. In season one, when Sylar met his first victim, he could “see” how the powers were working, leading him to knock the guy out and open his head to take a closer look at the brain. In this season, when he kills the illusion woman, he starts and completes his ritual and fully expects to be able to work the illusion power but can’t.
This leads me to believe one of two things. One, he doesn’t consciously examine the brain and make changes in his own, he sort of just soaks in it and picks up powers by osmosis (which means he didn’t pick up the power and he really didn’t “see” anything the first time he killed the guy.) Or two, the virus doesn’t completely supress all his powers, it just prevents him from manifesting it. Therefore, he can examine the brain and understand it but he can’t change his own (or he can change his brain, but cannot manifest his new power.) Meaning, it is not impossible for him to be without the illusion power, though it would be kind of hard to explain on the show I suppose.
If Nathan’s in a brain-dead coma, ol’ Sylar pops in and takes flying lessons. That’s assuming they have to be alive for him to learn their tricks. If not, he can just get a shovel…
Sure, why not? But they’re going to have to knock it off with the Claire Blood thing. Claire, Peter, Sylar, Hiro: together there’s nothing they can’t do so we’re going to see a lot of dumbass disease and being conveniently unavailable. How many times did Hiro get knocked out anyway? The writers have obviously taken a lesson from Smallville. When in doubt, knock 'em out.
That part is tricky. Peter’s mom said that the way to kill Adam was to shoot him in the head. However, HRG was shot in the head, and Claire’s blood brought him back to life. So, evidence suggests, brain injuries can be cured by Claire’s blood. But if that is the case, you don’t need the brain, when she cut her toe off it should’ve regenerated a new Claire, kind of like fluke worms or something.
Peter would be a great thief, he can use invisibility and walk through walls. Unfortunately he’s too dim to do that, so he brings along Adam and makes himself really conspicuous.
Hiro’s use of time-stopping isn’t that great, Adam caught him and put the sword to his throat, shouldn’t he have escaped before he grabbed him? And, he grabbed Adam to teleport him to the coffin, but when he was in Adam’s grasp with the sword against his throat, he teleported without Adam coming with. Is there more to it than the touch? You need intent too?
I think there are a lot of plot holes, more than what I have just listed. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still going to watch it, but I’ll bitch about all these little inconsistencies. I’m thinking they don’t have real geeks writing this stuff.
Anyway, I assume Nathan can hover because early on Peter copied his powers (though at the time not fully understanding the process) and he could hover.
Not nitpicking; I was just being silly. As someone with multiple noticeable facial scars myself I really don’t think there is some massive taboo about mentioning it. I assumed he’d been in an accident at some point.
Saaaaay… has Peter ever met Linderman?
Even if they’ve never showed it, there are always flashback scenes, so there’s another avenue to bring him back.
