I mostly wonder if Ele is dead for real, if so this would be Sylars first actual murder for no reason. he already has her power and we have seen in the past that he only kills to gain more powers.

He killed Suresh, who didn’t have powers. And did both of Molly’s parents, who he killed, have powers? I seem to remember only one of them had his or her brain missing.

And let’s not forget his mother. Face it, folks, Sylar kills for any excuse whatsoever, and if the writers would stop trying to retcon his character because the actor’s playing Spock now, his acting like this wouldn’t be so confusing.

I disagree. From the start, Sylar has been willing to kill people that get between him and more powers, but his mother was quite clearly an accident.

I’d just love to see Audrey Hansen pop back up on her 5 year mission to catch Sylar. Maybe she’s even figured out he’s Gabriel?

And, as mentioned, the show does seem to show that they killed Future!Peter with a simple gunshot by killing him whilst his healing power was suppressed. I concede that Claire is Just Special, though.

I thought that they had the Haitian there to prevent Peter from healing…? I’ll have to rewatch it to be certain.

Exactly - so once the Haitian moved away from Future Peter, by the show’s logic, he should presumably have popped back to life, just like Claire did when she got HER ability back. I don’t see that much difference between being shot/dying whilst healing ability is suppressed than being shot without the ability being present at all due to eclipse shenanigans. If anything, Claire’s case seems more extreme.

I imagine a solution of sorts is they wedge something in FuturePeter’s brain stem but there’s nothing whatsoever on the screen to support this guess, given we see his orpse lying flat on its back for a lot of the episode. And after all, if that were necessary why not just chop his head off?

Alejandro wasn’t, though, and at the time he didn’t even have his power, so getting other powers was out of the question for the time being.

I thought the point was to make Peter feel pain, the pain of all the people who died because of him, not to kill him outright. That’s why Claire wanted to make a cut for each life that was lost because of Peter. I don’t remember the Haitian ever moving away from Peter in the future scenario.

The Haitian, along with everyone else, is ordered from the room by Future President Nathan so he can chat to Present!Peter and then be murdered by him.
