I did like the Fallout 3 reference with Daddy Gray’s record player.
Not a gamer-please to explain?
The song that was playing was used pretty heavily in the game.
That’s what I get for only playing Sims and Black and White
Was anyone else getting seriously annoyed by Parkman not wanting to let speedy girl use her powers? What is this, bewitched? the poor girl was crippled before, let her enjoy herself you assmunch!
I stopped watching a few months ago. Writing any better now?
General consensus seems to be “not as good as first season, but not as bad as it used to be and getting better”.
That’s the one smart thing that Parkman did this week. If they want to stay unnoticed and out of trouble, the last thing you want is people noticing unusual wind gusts and following the blur trail back to their apartment. Daphne can and should enjoy her powers, but exercise some brain cells and do it out of public sight and definitely not in broad daylight.
My theory: Parkman has been hired by the show’s budget coordinator, who is trying to cut down on all Heroes’ powers that require actual sfx and cannot simply be shown by the actor making squinty constapation faces. Or wearing white contact lenses.
So, no flying or superspeed. Instead, everyone will be getting Matt’s and Hiro’s powers. Well, and that power that let that one guy sucked out of the plane learn languages really fast, too. For variety and such.
Seemed like there was an awful lot of air being sucked out of that hole as well.
Seems like there’s a whole lot of air being sucked out of this series.
Somehow this show is reminding me more and more of 4400.
Besides all of the obvious elements:
-they now have a similar drug that allows people to gain powers, but kills some
-they have factions in the government that want to put them all in their place aka interment camps
-government secretly creating people with powers using previously mentioned drug…because it is ok for them to do whatever they want even though they hate people with powers
-people with powers now living and working together as a result of being harassed
I am just waiting for Peter to become their messiah.
It is so bad that for a moment I thought maybe they had the same producers and wanted to do a remade version of 4400.
Awesome review as always, Annie. Keep 'em coming!
Boy, that Ed Danvers sure can take a beating! I imagine I’d be hurt a little after getting hit by the door of a cab and knocked several feet through the air.
Also, Parkman didn’t figure out what he was looking at in that prognostipainting? “I’m not sure I agree 100% with your police work there, Lou.”
Well, except the drug didn’t kill anybody (except for the one that Mohinder screwed up), and now the drug has been destroyed. Of course, I’m sure the producers caught the similarities, seeing as the only person who got injected was the guy from the 4400.
And really, the whole “Government attacking supers and friends and enemies working together” was around before the 4400.
I’d bet good money on him having powers too.
Was he the one that absorbed Tracey’s freezing ability?
Also forgot to mention: reeeeeeally bad editing in this one, in the scene where Parkman is talking to Usutu. Watch the cane.
He obviously thought that the painting showed a spiderweb between him and Claire, spun while he was trying to figure out what the painting meant. Which just makes sense, really.
So, what exactly is Pete’s power now? Touch & absorb? Touch & change? Wash & go?
I’m pretty sure that was entirely intentional, to indicate that Usutu is now a dream, to some; to others… a nightmare!
Damnit, Peter simply cannot resist an invitation to a hug. He’s like Elmo on Sesame Street.
