Heroes - Powers you'd like to see.

Since we’ve got new characters to look foward to, I wondered what powers people would be interested in seeing. We’ve already had most of the “common” power types; super-strength, invisibility, healing powers, and so on. Some common powers haven’t been shown yet, though; super-speed, for example. There does seem to be a point of unbelievability of powers that the show doesn’t cross, though (to some extent). Powers that I think will turn up at some point;

Electricity manipulation
Psychometry
Some form of astral projection

Anyone else?

Weather manipulation?
The ability to command the loyalty of sea creatures?

We haven’t seen any repeats of powers so far and as new heroes show up, it will be increasingly difficult to not repeat a power. I wonder if there is anyone out there with a completely lame power like glow-in-the-dark teeth or something. They can’t all be cool.

Mcgyverism
I guess in super term the ability to quickly imagine available materials into tools

Tunneling
Radio Hearing and Broadcast

I’m waiting for “Can Always Find His Car Keys Man”.

Too much to hope that there’ll be some lawyer who can eat matter in all its forms, isn’t it?

Tourette’s Syndrome Man. He can stop crime with uncontrollable, inappropriate outbursts.

Being nigh invulnerable. Sure, we have a super healer, but she still gets *hurt[/] I want someone like The Tick. He can be hurt, it just takes a shit-ton of damage to do it. But he still feels pain.

-Do The Right Thing

Either a plastic man type thing, or maybe a Thing type, uh, thing. The ability to resist crushing and to crush anything. Maybe the ability to manipulate mass media, like a CNN broadcast?

This may be an aspect of that internet-manipulating chick’s powers. I don’t recall exactly how her powers were explained but if she can manipulate electronic impulses to create instant messages and the like then radio signals may fall within her purview as well.

Incredible luck. Fire at him, your gun jams, and then you’re hit by a bus. He needs money, he trips and lands in front of a $100 bill on the ground.

Matter transmutation. Can turn lead into gold or steel into chalk.

Plant control.

An “enabler” who has no powers of his own, but can boost or grant powers to those around him.

Shrinking or growing.

Growth
I want to see a Sumo wrestler rock New York
Persuation

People believe what ever the super sais

Someone who can breathe underwater.

Gender Bender - Can change other people’s sex in a fit of pique.

Tar Baby - Able to cover anything in super stickness.

I’m just waiting for a super who, for whatever power he has, doesn’t look like a normal human.

The comics always play this down with some kind of ridiculous stealth, or at the very least, a total anonymity under a trenchcoat and fedora.

I think it could be interesting that somebody with a noticeable mutation would be the world-at-large’s introduction to the existence of people with powers. Bring a racism storyline to the front, if done tactfully.

It’s probably going to happen soon, because it’s just such a common trope. I imagine that when it does, the character introduction will be along the lines of Nightcrawler, with a gradual introduction in a setting like a circus freak show.

They already had that. Remember Eve who killed herself before Sylar could eat her brain?

A guest appearance by Jessica Alba as a woman who is irresistable to men, or better yet irresistable to women.

Electroweak Manipulation.

That’s everything except gravity, BTW. And who needs gravity, really, when you can convert mass into energy by will alone?

She could make people do things. I don’t think she had the power to make people believe things.

The Amazing Water Man, has power over water, can change water into wine, walk on water, or part the Red Sea.
