I am intrigued and interested in this art:
http://www.shag.com/
Is anyone familiar with it that can tell me it’s origins or what it’s all about? I love the looks and the style, but I don’t know the story (if any) behind it. Can anyone enlighten me? Am I the only one that loves it, or is this a worldwide phenomenon that I’m just discovering?
It’s very mid-century modern in inspiration. It’s meant, I believe, to make you think of a very hip crowd in the late '50s, or thereabouts, at a cocktail party, or otherwise interacting. The style owes a great deal to advertising and other commercial art from that era. I love it.
Jeez, I thought this was gonna be about dancing :D, Sorry, art in one of many areas in which I have little knowledge.
