Hey! a billion dead brain cells can’t be wrong. But you name it, I drink it, except for whiskey and or urine etc.
I have sunk a fair few Tennents in my time, in fact more of that than any other brand so I do buy Scottish.
To be fair though I do prefer Red Stripe.
Cmon Lola, answer my questions. You need to establish your credentials. If you only eat out once a year then of course there is no way you can forget to tip, twice a week though ups the ante a little.
And shrew, and Blalron, Garfield226, imthjkaz, Gary Kumquat, TwistOfFate … that’s just from the first and last pages.
Did they say that ‘stealing from a waiter is morally wrong’? did they even agree that it was stealing? No, that is your own conclusion.
shrug I don’t see you starting pit threads for every single act of immorality or rudeness that you encounter either.
This is rather late in the day, I realise that; my main purpose in posting was to thank LintyFresh, **Glory[/b ]and Jessity for providing facts about the tax on tips. I also wanted to reiterating a point someone else made: that you are being ruder and more hostile than seems warranted. So what if this is the Pit? People get pitted, other people disagree with that pitting. That’s how it works.
I’d hate to see how you react to real criminals. Forget the electric chair, you could fry them with the pure heat of your anger! Could be quite useful actually …
Lola, calm the fuck down!!
Blackknight didn’t murder anybody, he forgets to tip once in awhile.
It’s not a fucking crime!
I tip, but I too would not leave a tip if service was poor.
Now why don’t you just sit back and take a deep breath.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Again, inhale.
Exhale.
Feel better now?
Good.
Now, why don’t go out and treat yourself to a nice dinner.
And don’t forget your server.
My poor, confused SciFiSam. Where on earth did I say that not tipping was “stealing?” Please point me to the post where I said that? Please do not put words in my mouth. Nowhere did I say that not tipping was ILLEGAL; not once did I say it was STEALING. I may have called them a cheap fuck, a tightwad, or morally bankrupt, but not once did I call them a THIEF. Here, let me help you out by including a couple of my comments:
Maybe you should read more than the first and last posts of a thread to form an opinion about what others actually feel about a situation, because most of the people you mentioned agreed that they would tip if the service was good.
Now I am really going to leave this thread to you and smam, because you both are making about as much sense.
But before, I do, here’s a tip (pardon the pun): you should really stay out of the pit, because it clearly upsets you.
And imthjckaz, once you are done hyperventilating, please go back and read the part of the thread where BK admits to not tipping not only when he “forgets”, but also because he doesn’t consider it a priority if he “doesn’t have enough cash left over” even when the service was good.
In the meantime, talk to your buddies, SciFiSam and Smam, but leave me out of your nonsensical ravings.
Thank yew.

Sweetie, you got the corner on nonsensical ravings.
Well, that sure told me.
Have fun, you crazy kids!
I have read the entire thread, but when I checked the thread again for the names of the other people who disagreed with you, I found 6 extra names, and that seemed enough to be getting on with. I had already told you that yes, I have read the entire thread. How is that unclear? I have read the entire thread and I disagree with you != I haven’t really read the whole thread at all.
I apologise for incorrectly attibuting the word ‘stealing’ to you. But that makes your reaction more extreme, IMHO. You’re incredibly, amazingly angry at someone for violating a social convention. I’m not upset, I’m simply amazed. I like the Pit. I’ve seen a lot of people get very rude and angry in here, usually over something much less trivial than this. You’re currently the lead contender for the title Little Miss Angry, and it’s about … tips?
Apology accepted.
Bye!

You know, one of the reasons I like to occasionally read Pit threads is that they are instructive, as a way to debate difficult issues and to disagree with people constructively - even if sometimes the lessons come from the unconstructive ways some people disagree. (The other reason is that many of the threads are very funny). b]Lola**, you ignore all the points anyone else has made if they happen to disagree with you, you’re rude to them and repeatedly tell them to leave a thread on a public message board. Most instructive.
if you’re so irritated at her behavior throughout this thread, why do you keep baiting her with your comments?
