So after several years here… I just now realized that if you click on the yellow arrow next to updated posts on the thread list, it jumps directly to the newest post. Whereas if you click on the title, it always goes to the top.

For a real mindblowing experience, try clicking on the number of replies in the forum list.
This is as fun a day as Wednesday, when I re-learned how to find percentages after forgetting since sixth grade!

If you right click on that arrow, it opens in a new window.
In an ideal world, yes it would take you to the last post you read in that topic, but I have found that it doesn’t always do that & I have to scroll up.
BTW, did you notice a nifty link on the main forum page:

I use multiple browser brands/versions, with multiple windows open all at once. Therefore, the “go to first unread post” works only 5% of the time for me.
