Last minute blah blah blah, I know.
Tonight one of my favorite bands, Flogging Molly, is playing at the Fillmore Auditorium
The kid I was supposed to go with bailed on me, and I’d enjoy some company and the chance to meet some of my fellow Colorado dopers. Tickets are 23 bucks; Flogging Molly is a very, very good celtic rock band.

Man, I really wanted to see that concert but I had to work. On the plus side, I’m getting paid to see Social Distortion next month! Woo-hoo! 
Boooo. Too little too late. I would have wanted to go, but I was working, and I didn’t see this till today.

It was a fabulous concert- one of the best I’ve ever been to.

I just got to hear an organ piece from the loft of the Lorenzkirche in Nuremberg, which was pretty cool, too.

Sounds like it would have been a fabulous performance.
It wasn’t really a performance, just kind of an open-house evening at the church. (open-church?) We got to climb up to the organ loft and look around (nice organ, 8000 pipes I think he said), talk to the organist, climb the tower and look out on the city. And the organist would just play one short piece every half hour.
But you’re right about it being fabulous.

Had I seen this, and not already bought tickets and planned to go to the Tragically Hip concert that same night, I woulda taken you up on the offer.
However, I’ve been waiting 4 years to see the Hip. Glad the show was good!
