Hey Dad! (Australia Sitcom) Question

I was wondering if anyone familiar with the series could answer this for me.

I have been watching this on YouTube and rather like it.

Because the episodes after 100 aren’t posted except here and there, and the cast apparently changed a lot, I can’t figure it out

I checked Wikipedia it says Rachel Beck played Sam and replaced the actress playing Debbie. Debbie was a daughter of the dad in “Hey Dad.” But Sam is the niece of the dad in “Hey Dad.”

If this is so why does Sam call him “dad”

Yeah. Hey Dad wasn’t too sophisticated to start with, and it got a bit flakey towards the end with all the cast changes.

I remember that the later seasons came to be dominated by the actor known all around Australia as “the little fat kid from Hey Dad”. By that time, I think most of the original cast had gone, along with any semblance of continuity.

Didn’t Jenny accuse hey dad of touching her up recently? Did anything ever come of those allegations?
