I kept waiting for the Smug Cloud to show up. Still not a horrible episode, and Steve having the foster kids as slave Leias was kind of funny.

I can’t understand why McFarlane is ripping off himself. Instead of going with a new idea, he just makes another show about a goofy family, except replaces the talking dog and the ill-mannered baby with a talking fish and an ill-mannered alien. What the hell? Also, political humor doesn’t make me laugh.
How much time was supposed to have passed in this episode? A year? And what was up with Haley, random cancer?
Yeah, at the beginning of the ep was Francine’s 39th birthday, and then at the end, Stan says “Happy 40th birthday.” Not sure what was up with Haley, though I think they could have done a lot more with her illness.
Anybody catch the “Cheney/Quayle '08” bumper sticker on Stan’s car?
