Seriously, note also that the shorter hairstyle and new glasses changes her look. She may have had better facial care, but I doubt much more than that.

She’s pregnant at the moment. Don’t know how recent the photo from the link was.
Ooooh! Does this mean she’ll have to start a new series for the new kid???
I don’t think she’ll need to start a new series, it would just be easier to continue the current series beyond the school years. Eventually we could have:
Harry Potter and the Kidney Stone
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Commerce
Harry Potter and the Pensioner of Azkaban
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Metamucil
So does she really have red hair or blonde hair or what?
Okay… but I don’t get it. I was just trying to point out in a light hearted way the effect that poverty can have on people, of which appearance is probably the least important. IIRC being born six stops east on the Jubilee Line takes six years off a baby’s life expectancy.
I’d love to give Tony Blair the credit for Harry Potter (really). I’m not sure when it was published but I doubt it was long enough after the launch of the Working Families Tax Credit in October 1999 or really after May 1997 for us to draw a link between the two… sorry.
I would also vote for makeup and lighting, along with a little weight loss. That can tighten up the face a great deal.
