I just saw that JillGat is moderating GQ. I saw what Ed Zotti said about it, but I was wondering, could you tell us the real story ?

(hoping you step back in…) I thought of a possible way for you to have a legal copy of Carrie. If you can get a copy of the script, have some good friends (like me!) read/sing it, and record it. Since it isn’t for public performance you shouldn’t (I think) run into any copyright laws. Now, of course, for the hard part - getting the copy of the script. check out e-bay??? other esoteric auctions?
The script does show up on eBay, but it’s gawdawful expensive. And someone’s also posted a transcription on their website (which I’m intentionally not linking to). The problem is that we’d also need the score, and the one time I saw it on eBay it went for far more than I’d be willing to pay (several hundred).
I eventually decided to download the thing from Napster, listened to it and deleted it. My curiosity was satisfied, (it wasn’t bad) and I can relax now. I really appreciate the offer, though!
