We have to get Bush out of office so that Kerry can deal with the Middle East honestly and directly and not just as a front for his circle’s business interests.
Kerry also has a much greater chance of working together with non-extremists Muslims, which is absolutely critical in this.

Even as we speak, the threads bashing people for criticizing Bush’s war are multiplying. “Why don’t you shut up about Bush and the war?” “Don’t bother mentioning the 1000 dead American soldiers, because you’re just a partisan shill if you do.” But one guy gets beheaded, and all of a sudden everyone’s waking up. You think it didn’t hurt when the other 1000 guys died? Why is it that people completely lose all perspective whenever something sensationalistic happens? Hate isn’t going to get us out of this mess, folks.

We’re following it exactly, to the letter. 9/11 was explicitly intended to goad the US into war with a Muslim country, in order to galvanize extremists. 9/11 was nothing more, to OBL, than a recruiting device. He couldn’t have had a greater success if he had conferred with Bush ibn Bush beforehand.

No, it has nothing to do with their “culture”. It has to do with the delusional assholes killing innocent people. Nowhere in the Koran does it say to cut someone’s head off with a pocketknife.
This is a totally unrealistic expectation. People living in fear of terrorists themselves are not able to “root them out”. It has never happened. I’m sure the majority of peace-loving Iraqis would be quite happy to see the terrorists destroyed. But civilians disposing of them? Get real.
