The oboe is another double reed instrument, isn’t it?
Bassoon player here. Played since approx. 1962, but with a “slight” break from 1970 until two days ago (no kidding!).
Due to 15 years of experience being married to a singer/songwriter, I am an excellent lyric critic. 
I won’t sugar it up for you or pat you on the head and tell you “it’s great!” I’ll tell you your bridge isn’t right and the second line of the third verse is off and your rhymes need to be less predictable.
My husband also tells me I’m a good muse, although I’m not so sure I’d be as good at that for anyone else.
