Hey Kids! Let's make Mr. Gruff, the Athiest Goat!

For my past couple of birthdays, my husband has given me some wonderful paper machines. Great fun to put together, and they work!

So the other day I decided to seek out other such models, and came across this site. Oh my, this is an interesting site. Right now I have Mr. Gruff, the Athiest Goat sitting next to my monitor so I can “practice witnessing techniques on him”. I’m seriously considering making Pteva, the flying pterodactly (official mascot of Project Pterosaur ) so he can fly “off in search of his brethren so that they may be witnesses for Creation!”.

I so want to believe that this is an elaborate hoax, but something tells me it isn’t. Peanut butter disproves evolution, and dinosaurs live in Africa. Yep, I’m convinced!

Drat, this was supposed to go in MPSIMS. Could someone report for me?

Done.

Off to MPSIMS.

A *crucifixion nail * design?

I’m pretty sure that site’s a joke.

ETA: For one thing Mr. Gruff has a coffee mug saying “I [heart] Rand” on it.

Thank god, it’s a parody.

Definitely a joke; there’s way too few grammatical errors for such a zealous-seeming site. Also, the CAPITALIZED PHRASE-to-sentence ratio is way too low.

I love the art tutorial and the ‘dress-up’ page, though. Check out the ‘big monkey’ costume in the latter-- would a fundamentalist even think of making a classy film reference like that? Once you dress him, be sure to click on his banana.

Ok, now I’ve GOT to make a Jesus-O-Lantern this Halloween:

Think I’ll make a J.R. “Bob” Dobbs-O-Lantern to keep him company.

I was laughing so hard when I first saw this site I literally had to walk away from the computer. Guess that comes from going to a southern baptist high school for a (mercifully) short time!

LOL = Love Our Lord. Bwahahahaha!!

That’s actually disappointing. I was excited that there are really people that far out there, enough to provide endless entertainment to me.

Also, I was highly considering joining their church if it meant dinosaurs for everyone.

Awesome

Whew! Thanks for the debunking, Revenant Threshold! I guess I thought it was far too elaborate to be a hoax.

All of the paper models come from a site called Happy Origami Minstries.
I wonder if this is just a part of the hoax?

Sigh, I should have listened when my mama told me gullible wasn’t in the dictionary. :smack:

Disturbing!

I’ve seen Mr. Gruff before. . . and now I can’t remember where! But I doubt it was on this website.

Drat, now this is going to bug me.

Was the thing you’d seen the Mr. Gruff poster-type thing on this page? That’s something i’d seen before.

Laumuel the Lamb is wearing a sweater. That’s almost sheepibalism!

Yeah, a picture of a cartoon goat in regards to atheism. Is that pretty common? But I think I remember the words Mr. Gruff also.

Maybe you’re thinking of one of his two brothers?

I love that site. They have some sort of friendly/ fake rivalry with Landover Baptist. It’s all a hoot.

Whoosh! Two brothers? Of Mr. Gruff the goat? Goats have brothers? I know they have kids but brothers? Hmm. Well, I guess so. But who are his brothers?
