Hey - Kitty!

Here’s my big ol’ Main Coon, Seth.
Jackson looks a lot like a kitty we almost got, but we were second in line for him. We ended up with Seth instead, so I guess it worked out for the best!

He’s sitting next to me now, purring and plotting a way to get my latte.

The kitty is adorable. Are the puppies Maltese? They’re also darling. We saw a “maltie-poo” yesterday while walking the streets of Manhattan. The doggy amused my daughter because her name is Lucy, same as one of our cats.

My Maine Coon just turned a year old yesterday. She eats everything even vaguely edible including corn and tomato sauce – much to the amusement of our domestic shorthair.

Ah, the kitty cuteness is killing me! And if my husband wouldn’t kill me, I’d be tempted to get another already. We’ll soon be moving into a much larger house, and then it will be kitties ahoy!

Yes, LavenderBlue, the puppies are Maltese. Chester, although you can’t tell it from that particular picture, is a champion bloodline stud and too smart for his own good (aka always getting into trouble). We’ve never shown him, and rarely stud him - he’s a member of the family, not livestock. If you ever get your dog groomed at Petsmart though, he is featured on some of the posters that hang in their grooming area. Our local Petsmart also borrows him to train their new groomers on the proper way to groom longhaired dogs. Of course, we get free grooming out of the deal, and Chester has a doggie crush on the groomer, so everyone is happy. Charlie, the sweet but dimwitted girl is also a Maltese. However, we suspect that her family tree might be just one straight branch - she’s just too dumb to not be inbred. We’re hoping that if we ever breed the two it will cancel out the too smart/too stupid genes and result in cute dogs of average intelligence.

oh yeah, you’ve got a maine coon. finestkind they are. they have quite the vocabulary (everything but a normal meow) , love water, and very, very, affectionate. you picked a winner!

i’m glad y’all lucked into each other. gracie has a good buddy with jackson.

your gracie looks like she is about the size of my nod the naughty. noddy was gaining weight at an alarming rate as a wee kitten. she topped out at 7 lbs when she was 8 weeks old. she has added a few ounces but hasn’t gotten to 8lbs. i call her the ballerina kitty, her front paws “turn out” and she is slender and tall. she will be 14 this year so i don’t think she’ll get any bigger.

Seconding the statement that Maine Coons is finestkind cats ever to have – and my two fuzzy little bastards prove it.

(You can’t see it in this picture, but Juliet is like a 3lbs lighter female version of Jackson with blue eyes - Daniel’s a 20lb mackerel tabby)

Daniel is the feline vaccuum of the two, and Juliet has the paw-dippin’ thing in water going. Daniel trills, and probably Juliet as well, but she’s a neurotic lil’ thang so my hearing friend couldn’t confirm her trilling. They both sleep next to me on the couch when I’m sprawled on it, and Daniel follows me around.

ps, rocking chair - let me guess. you read the hellflower books too.
