Meet my new kitty Jack

Jack came to me in a copier paper. box. Jack in the Box (get it? :D) Jack is nimble, Jack is quick. Jack’s best toy at this point is his own tail. These pics were taken today on a sunny day on the front porch.

  1. Jack is seriously cute.

  2. I LOVE your house.

  3. I want horses in my front yard too. :frowning:

Jack looks like a nice kitty, why don’t you give him a milk jug ring or a paper bag? Or just let him hang out in his box. Cats love boxes. One of my cats has been sitting in a box for half an hour now, and he looks very happy.

Oh, Jackie has toys. He has milk jug rings, a feather poofy thing he’s afraid of, and he has my English setter’s plume-y tail. He mostly likes his shoelace and his tail.

OK, I’m reassured that Jack has plenty of toys, and of the right kind. But now I’m worried about his fear of the feather wand.

Congodwarf - If it makes you feel any better, my house doesn’t have central heat and air and I have to carry wood pellets for hte stove in throughout the Winter.

Lynn - It’s bright pink and has tinsel. My giant schnauzer is afraid of it, too.

I love your cat AND your house!

I want to come sit in your porch swing with a good book and Jack in my lap.

I love the whole thing; I was born in Vermont and it reminds me of home <even if we did leave when I was 6>

Such happy pictures

He looks like my cat Vespa, one of the sweetest cats I’ve ever owned. Put the feather thing away until he’s bigger than it is, that should do the trick

I love the tabby and white kitties. I have one, myself. The house looks GREAT.

Everything looks absolutely perfect in the pictures you posted.

HORSIES! I wanna come pet them!

And the cat too.

The next step for the house is to have the roof done. Either I’m going to replace it with another metal roof, or I’ll have the existing metal roof recoated.

Right now I have 6 dogs, 5 cats (including wee Jack) and 4 horses - 2 thoroughbreds and 2 minis. I’m also doing a foster for a co-workers dog. He’s threatening to have it put down because he says it’s indifferently housetrained and yappy. She’s a 4 year old shih tzu, and so far I’ve had her for 4 days. She hasn’t had one accident, and hasn’t been yappy at all. Of course, I take her outside regularly and don’t make her stay out if he doesn’t want to. The co-worker says I haven’t given her a chance to pee in the house. I told him I wasn’t trying to set her up for failure. I’m trying to get an elderly couple at church interested in her - she’d be the perfect old-person’s dog.

Shouldn’t a thread about New Jack Kitty be in Cafe Society?

Thanks for sharing! Jack is very pretty. I love how your house turned out. Is one of the horses Irish? the dark one? did I remember that right?

Rhiannon - Yes, Irish is the bay TB. The grey horse is Grace, who I got this summer to keep Irish company after I lost Nakota in foal. Grace is also a TB, off the track. Her registered name is Peppermint Road.

What a lovely kitty! And you were absolutely right about the house color - it looks just right.

I thought this was going to be a thread about cat-lifting apparatus.

Pedigree is here. Why don’t you attach a picture of her there? And also fill in some of the missing info on her.
