Hey, knitters, whatcha up to?

Started a new ball of my “hopefully enough yarn to finish it” sweater, and it’s unusable. Every few yards, it’s cut, or partially cut (2 of the 4 plies is sliced through), or knotted, or twisted badly, or just generally unusable. I was hoping it was just at the beginning of the skein, so I unravelled it. The whole way through, it’s like someone took a razor and just made random slashes through already badly spun yarn.

I really wanted this sweater, now, I’m afraid it may end up unfinished. I’m a bit disappointed at the moment.

I’ve decided I want to learn all the stitches for lovely lacy things, so my next project is this: http://knitty.com/ISSUEspring05/PATTbranchingout.html

Ooh! Branching Out is definitely on my to-knit list…

I’m still working on The Ugliest. Blanket. Evar.[sup]TM[/sup] Nothing matches, I can’t crochet so I have no idea how I’m going to get the squares (that aren’t quite uniform in size) attached to each other … but man, is that sucker gonna be comfy when I get finished.
