A little background.
I got a refund through Paypal, first thing that seemed weird, is the money stayed in my account instead of going directly to my credit card as it has happened before with other refunds, “It doesn’t matter” I think, I want to use that money for other stuff anyway!, so I go and make a transaction, to my surprise… It was charged to my CC instead of using the balance already sitting in my account.
To make a long story short, paypal arbitrarily decided to convert the money from that refund to CLP, and of course, I can’t convert it back to USD, BECAUSE FUCKING PAYPAL DOESN’T FUCKING SUPPORT THAT CURRENCY (CLP)!!. What the hell paypal?, the primary currency in my account is USD, I make all my transactions in USD,the refund was in USD, my credit card works with an international account in USD, and you decide, just 'cause I live in Chile, to change the currency of that funds?, and to a currency I can’t use because you don’t fucking support it?!, I’ve been going back and forth for a week with customer service and the only option they’ve given me is to withdraw the money to my CC, but they charge you for that!, If you think I’m going to pay a ransom for my money because you are keeping it freaking “hostage”, you must be insane… so that.
