You’re right, lad. I’d given up on you. I also, somewhere in the wilds of Ohio on I-70 Sunday, got it through to the fellow I’ve been seeing that, yes, I did want someone to make a fuss over me turning 40. He did.
I thought he, another old friend, and I were going to Kings, a family-style restaurant with good chili and ice cream. When we got on the on ramp, we were going into town, not out, but it took me a while to catch on. That wonderful gentleman conspired with one almost as wonderful to take me to one of the finest restaurants in town! Yes, I did my best to thank him adequately.
Speaking of which, forget hugs. NoClueBoy, I’m sending a kiss your way, and I’m not talking Hershey’s.
This month will mark my 4th anniversary on this message board. You lured me in with interesting, intelligent discussions in GD, and kept me here with the warmth, sense of community, and even love you showed me here and in the BBQ Pit of all places. One of the reasons 40’s looking kind of good is people like you!
