Bandwidth and admin. issues aside, animated smilies are really, really irritating. Get those, and it’s a short step to pop-up windows and forced midi files.
Oh, just bite me. We’re doing our best here, each and every one of us. If you don’t appreciate it, there’s lots of other boards in cyberspace, perhaps someone else somewhere else can operate to your satisfaction.

Can I just say… I love it when Tuba gets pissed enough to be vulgar. It makes the whole experience more… real, somehow. Does that make any sense.

Seems to me the mods often think people hate them, when the problem is that they just don’t understand how much they let people down when they promise more than they can deliver. Sure one answer is to swear. A better one would be to promise less or deliver on what you do promise.
Put me down as indifferent to animated smilies. By that, I mean that I would not care if you used them unless it made the board even slower.
