Hey timothy98765-

In this thread: http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=94649

You claimed that “Right-Wing Conspirators” booed Hillary Clinton off stage. You called it a disgrace.

I don’t want to start a fight here, (I posted in the Pit just in case) but would you applaud if Charlton Heston walked on stage?

I wonder why it automatically has to be “Right-wing conspirators”. Maybe there just happened to be a bunch of people who just don’t like Hillary?

Obviously its a right winged conspiracy of people who don’t like Hilary.

Though I certainly don’t agree with him, I would never boo Charlton Heston. I’d be too afraid he’d challenge me to a duel or something.
Trucido, who is pursued by the Centrist Conspiracy.

I wouldn’t boo Stockwell fucking Day at a humanitarian charity fundraiser. I might not exactly give him a standing ovation, but I wouldn’t boo him.

“I told you not to let the Alliance make any new National Holidays”

Maybe out of place because of the venue, but I don’t think it’s a disgrace to boo a politician. We are under no obligation to applaud. I can also see a freedom of speech issue. They knew the rules when they ran for office.

Oh, God, Steve, I love you sometimes:) Thank you for that laugh.

Which is completely irrelevant to the idea that it’s rude to do so. We’re not talking an all-candidates’ debate here, we’re talking a fundraising dinner.

Oh gods, Captain, I have to agree with imapunha. That’s one of the funniest things I’ve read in eons.

Speaking of booing…

Anyone catch Richard Gere at the “Concert for New York”? Very bad place to preach pacifism.

Hey, MusicGuy, somebody just started a thread about Richard Gere. What a coincidence!

And hey, whoever he is, he’s wearing your jacket, the one that says MusicGuy across the back in rhinestones…
