I really, really, really have to get to know some of your fabulous people. Everyone seems to know everyone else except me!!!
So just so y’‘all know who I am, I’'m gonna give you all some background.
I’‘m 21 years old, and I live in Sydney, Australia. I was born in Chicago, Illinois, and I lived in Milwaukee for the first nine years of my life. I was packed up and shipped off here with my mother and father because of my father’'s job.
I registered with Straightdope when a friend told me how addictive it was! To be honest, I couldn’‘t see the appeal until I started reading some of your threads. I was in stitches with some of them, and others really got me thinking. Surprise, surprise, I wanted to post! So I registered and I haven’‘t regretted it for a second. It’'s great fun and so totally addictive.
Some tips on posting (like how to qoute and stuff) would be great. Even though I’‘m not that new, I still haven’‘t worked it out totally yet. I’'m almost totally computer illiterate! (and also that my first year on the internet was totally devoted to looking up porn!!!)
So please, tell me more and let me get to know you all better!
Cool. Nobody knows me either, and I’ve been here for three years. If you want to learn how to do tricks, one fun way is to read all the threads in About This Message Board that have “test” in the title, and see if you can do what they do.
This reminds me of my thread a month ago. I’m slowly writing my autobiography in a series of threads on this board, though I didn’t plan to. It’s just a great place to whine and brag.
There’s a great vB code link at the bottom of the pages here in the Forum Rules box. That’ll probably answer most questions you may have (for coding, anyway) when you’re writing your posts. For anything else, either ask it in ATMB or do a quick search there… either way, you’ll get an answer quickly.
