Hey, you O. S. Card fans ...

I’m gonna break my cherry on Ender’s Game, which I’ve been failing to get around to for some time now.

As you were.

Cool beans. You won’t regret it. He’s one of my all-time favorite authors. I’ve read about 20 books by him and haven’t had a bum steer yet.

Definitely check out Pastwatch too.

It’s about damn time.

Ditto for me what Ferrous said – I’ve read everything he’s published, and every word has been good.

But it doesn’t get any better than Ender’s Game.

If you wanna be really clever, you could try reading Ender’s Shadow first.

Check out Card’s short story collection “Maps in a Mirror”

Only 20, Ferrous? I’ve got 32 of his books.

As great Ender’s Game is, I think that the sequel Speaker for the Dead is an even more masterful achievement. And I’m probably in the minority for actually liking Xenocide and Children of the Mind.

I second Ferrous’s recommendation of Pastwatch.

I also recommend reading at least the first two novels in the Alvin Maker series, just so you can experience the second book called Red Prophet, which I think is probably his best fantasy novel.

If you can find it, I also highly recommend The Worthing Saga and Treason.

Well, put my announcement on hold for another day, I guess. One thing led to another last night, and I wound up not getting started.

Regarding The Lost Boys and the first Ender book, I cannot help but ask again if Card also has a fasciniation with naked little boys in his other books.
