Usually you would contact an administrator, but the emails don’t seem to be up to date. I’m sure a moderator will be along any moment to move this to the correct forum, and they will be able to give you the correct information.
p.s. to a moderator…probably a good idea to update those e-mail addresses in the sticky in ATMB. Some of them are no longer admins (or even active members).

Also, the moderators of a particular forum can be found on the bottom of the main page of the forum.
If you want to change your username, send an email to any moderator from the address you used to sign up for the SDMB. They don’t handle name changes directly, but they can pass the request up the ladder to Ed Zotti, the admin, who will handle the name change.

You can start by sending me a PM or an e-mail (my e-mail address is on my profile). We moderators can’t make name changes ourselves, but once we have everything verified then I will send the information on to an admin who will actually make the change.
TubaDiva asked me to change my username, and handled it when I picked a new one.
TubaDiva is also no longer an admin or mod and hasn’t been very active of late. The active mods are at the link I posted.
How did you find that list?
It was in the sticky FAQ - Technical issues for Posting under item #15 - Contacting the staff directly. I had to do some digging, it’s not in the most obvious of places.
If you go to www.straightdope.com and click on Message Boards on the upper left, that takes you to the main list of forums. If you scroll down near the bottom of that and click on View Forum Leaders, that will take you to the list.
Once you click on any forum, the moderators of that forum are down at the bottom of the page.

If you change it, it will no longer be the backward spelling of the Latin phrase for “sun warrior.”
There should be a rule that any time someone talks about having changed their username, they have to say what it was previously.
In interest of not being a hypocrite, my name was originally tbg, but I didn’t like how it looked in certain contexts of the board and asked Tuba to change it to TBG. Not much of a change, I admit.
